Fleet Week 2024 – Baltimore, MD
APA had the privilege of participating in one of the events for this year’s Fleet Week at the harbor in Baltimore, MD. Fleet week is a longstanding Navy tradition that dates to 1935, when the first one was held in San Diego, CA. This event offers the opportunity for the public to have a chance to see some of the Navy’s ships, learn their capabilities, and meet some of the most important people of the ship – the ship’s crew.
This year, we were fortunate to tour the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) 25, USS Marinette. It was a great opportunity to see how our support to the LCS shipbuilding program at a micro level contributes to the overall final product of a fully capable ship that measures roughly 387 ft, and is equipped with the finest sailors that are ready to perform any mission. It indeed was a great LCS Day!!
